At HMS Facilities, we have an experienced team of highly qualified, registered Gas engineers and we will be happy to assist you with your gas testing and gas purging requirements.

HMS FACILITIES

Strength Testing

Gas strength testing is carried out by our fully qualified, Gas Safe engineers. The gas strength test is carried out on any new industrial and commercial gas pipework installations or extensions to existing commercial gas pipework installations prior to carrying out a tightness test. This Gas strength test will highlight any major construction failures.

HMS FACILITIES

Gas Tightness Testing

Gas tightness testing is a procedure carried out on new installations and existing pipe work to ensure your pipe work and installations are safe to use. These tests are performed by our registered gas safe engineers to determine if the gas is flowing correctly and at the appropriate pressure levels within the pipework. Any detected pressure drops will be fully investigated and repaired. This process is carried out by our fully qualified, Gas Safe engineers.

During the gas tightness testing our engineers will survey the installation for any obvious faults. They will check for gas leaks and monitor the gas pressure within the pipework. If the pressure drop exceeds the parameters, the customer will be notified, and a repair undertaken. Once the repairs have been completed and the appliances are confirmed as safe the tightness test will be completed again as part of the wider gas safety certification.

Gas Purging

Should you require it, the process of gas purging is carried out by our registered gas engineers.

The decommissioning of industrial and commercial gas pipework is the process of purging from gas to air. This ensures that any decommissioned pipework is safe to be removed. The commissioning of industrial and commercial gas pipework is the process of purging from air to gas. This ensures that the commissioned appliances are safe to be used. Should you require our gas testing or purging services at your premises or site, please contact us to discuss your requirements and see where we can help.
